Meet our Team
Catherine came to the financial services industry after a career in education. Thus, in addition to her Bachelor of Arts degree, she holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education. In 1997, persuaded by her brother and founder, Catherine opened a branch of Hicks Financial Solutions - then the largest independent financial planning firm in Atlantic Canada. Hicks Financial Solutions later merged with Investment Planning Counsel.
Catherine has gained expertise in the area of divorce planning. She also has a special interest in succession planning. More than anything, however, she enjoys working with clients to develop their financial plans.
Catherine is an avid runner, hiker and cyclist. Some of her recent achievements include completing the New York Marathon, summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, reaching the base camp of Mount Everest, and exploring the Grand Canyon. She loves to travel, especially to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
